History & Mission Working with families for 25 years

Founded in 1998, Family Resource Center St. Croix Valley is a non-profit organization that offers parent education and family support at no-cost to families in Pierce, Polk, and St. Croix counties.

Our mission is to strengthen children, families, and communities by offering education, resources and support. FRCSCV is funded by private grants, contracts, and donations. In addition, Family Resource Center is a funded partner of United Way St. Croix Valley and Success By 6.

Programs & Services Why Early Childhood Education Matters

Strong early childhood education benefits everyone — children, families, and, the community!

FRCSCV’s no cost programs are available to parents and caregivers with children prenatal-kindergarten entry and help promote optimal child development and positive parent-child relationships. Services include; Welcome Baby Hospital Visits, Home Visits, Baby & Me, Positive Parenting Program [Triple P], Early Childhood Education & Families & Schools Together [ECE FAST], Parent Cafe, Recovering Cafe Special Events & more!

Group and individual connections led by our skilled and trained Parent Educators are designed to educate, strengthen parenting skills, give confidence and a parent network of support as you raise your child in today’s ever-changing environment.

Parents as Teachers Home Visiting

Family Resource Center St. Croix Valley’s programs are based on the Parents as Teachers model. Parents as Teachers is a nationally-recognized research- and evidence-based curriculum that operates with the mission to provide the information, support, and encouragement parents need to help their children develop optimally during the crucial early years of life. Family Resource Center parent educators undergo training to become certified in the Parents as Teachers curriculum and maintain their certifications with continuing education.
